DCAP

A Dependent Care Assistance Program is a type of Flexible Spending Account. An employee can use a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) to be reimbursed for childcare or daycare expenses that are incurred in order for the employee and their spouse to be gainfully employed. DCAP expenses are those incurred for child(ren) under the age of 13 while both parents are working. The DCAP may also cover custodial care for a disabled spouse or parents that are incapable of caring for themselves so the employee can be gainfully employed.
